SSDC Day 1: Tainted

Prompt: This goddess of disease takes the form of a young woman. She is inhumanly tall and has a feminine build. She has silver hair worn in a style that resembles a waterfall. Her eyes are merely bloody pits. She has red skin covered in zig-zag designs. She is usually portrayed as wearing a sexy costume and a hat. She carries a shield. She has six legs. She sometimes takes the form of a great mass of putrid flesh.

All in all I think this turned out rather fantastically. I have the disadvantage of not having an intimate knowledge of the female form (as I'm a guy), but I don't know how much that knowledge would have helped me do the six legs bit anyway. The biggest difference would be that I may have actually drawn the full chest, instead of just estimating how hair would look if it was covering the curves of breast and fabric. Oh well, deal with it. Maybe in future days I'll just go for it and any female viewers can correct me so that I eventually get it right.

Instead of a hat I opted for a crown, as I could think of no better decoration to suit the outfit. Overall I went for a slightly elongated look (long-ish limbs, freakily stretched jaw, incredibly tiny waist, etc). I don't know how much of this elongated look was inspired by "inhumanly tall" and how much was inspired by "I stayed up until 5 AM last night reading about Slenderman, but that's what I wound up with. I left the shield unadorned simply because I couldn't think of a good symbol for "disease."

I may do a resubmit with a colored version later, but I make no promises.

Tools: Cheap Printer Paper, a Dixon No. 2 Pencil, several sizes of Micron ink pens, and 1 Jetstream ballpoint pen.
